The PTSO (Parent, Teacher, Student Organization) at Two Rivers is very active in all areas of our school. Through the diligent work of Mrs. Kelly Cooper, President (pictured on the left) and Ms. Jeanette Duncan, Vice President (pictured on the right) the PTSO supports students, faculty, parents and staff. The PTSO sponsors many activities, some of which include:
- Intramural activities and concessions every three weeks for students who receive less than 10 demerits in a three week period. This encourages students to be aware of their behavior and manners in the school setting. PTSO encourages parent involvement in the concessions during the games;
- Several dances throughout the year and encourages students participation and parent involvement;
- The 8th Grade Graduation in May and a nice reception for students and parents;
- Field Day in May which gives students a complete day outside in sports competitions and a cookout with parents, staff and faculty cooking for the student.
- Through the need of a student during the school year, has enlisted Lenscrafters' help for underprivileged students in the acquisition of eye exams and eye glasses. On December 5, 2006, during Hometown Days Celebration, Mrs. Cooper, in cooperation with Lenscrafters, will take 30 students on a Metro school bus to a Lenscrafters for breakfast, eye exams and new eye glasses.
- PTSO assures that faculty, students and staff members have the supplies and equipment needed. Teachers have received printers, desk chairs, ink cartridges, paper, pencils, pens, scissors, etc.
- PTSO works closely with all school sponsored clubs and activities and lends support to all who ask.
